A Pause in the Day is an exploration of carving out quiet creative moments during a time when such moments can often feel unpredictable and fleeting. Each individual sculpture represents a book, symbolizing the collection and accumulation of knowledge and ideas that have gathered over the past few years, eagerly awaiting rediscovery and exploration.

After a hiatus from her fine arts practice to dedicate time to her young family and commercial ceramic lines, Jessie is thrilled to return to sculpting and creating unique, one-of-a-kind works of art.
