WARRANDYTE POTTERY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Warrandyte Pottery Studio & Gallery

Welcome to Warrandyte Pottery Studio & Gallery. By booking a workshop, enrolling in a course, using our studio facilities, purchasing artwork, or participating in any event or exhibition, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

General Conduct

  • All visitors, students, members, and exhibitors must treat others with respect and behave in accordance with our Studio Code of Conduct.

  • The studio reserves the right to refuse service or access to anyone engaging in unsafe, unethical, or disruptive behaviour.

  • Breaches of conduct may result in immediate removal from the premises without refund.

Studio Access & Use

  • Studio access outside of scheduled classes is only available to approved members and students.

  • All participants must sign in and out via the QR code at entry/exit points.

  • Users must follow all posted safety procedures and equipment guidelines. Use of certain tools (e.g., gas torches) is restricted to supervised sessions or by explicit permission.

  • Warrandyte Pottery is not liable for accidents or damages caused by misuse of equipment or personal negligence.

Health & Safety

  • All studio users must adhere to our health and safety protocols at all times.

  • Fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency exits are clearly marked and maintained.

  • Users must notify staff immediately in the event of any injury, hazard, or incident.

  • The studio is covered by WorkSafe insurance via Allianz for applicable situations under studio control.

Bookings, Payments & Refunds

  • Enrolments are only confirmed once payment is received.

  • By enrolling in a course or workshop, you agree to our Refund Policy (linked or included on the payment page).

  • Cash payments are accepted under certain conditions, with a deposit required in advance.

  • Warrandyte Pottery reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops and classes due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, refunds or credits will be issued per our policy.

Intellectual Property & Artwork

  • All creative works made by students remain their property unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • Instructors may request to photograph works for promotional or documentation purposes. Consent will always be sought.

  • Work left uncollected after 90 days may be disposed of or placed on our donation table outside the gallery, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Gallery Sales & Exhibitions

  • Artists are responsible for providing correct pricing, labelling, and stock lists.

  • While all care is taken, Warrandyte Pottery Studio & Gallery is not liable for theft or damage of exhibited items unless caused by proven negligence.

  • Payments for sold works will be processed within 14 days of the exhibition’s close or as agreed.

Privacy

  • Personal details collected during bookings, memberships, or purchases are kept confidential and used only for studio-related communications and records.

  • We do not sell or distribute your information to third parties.

Photography & Promotion

  • Photos and videos may be taken during classes, events, or exhibitions and used for studio promotion.

  • If you do not wish to appear in photographs, please notify staff in writing prior to your visit.

Liability

  • While we take every reasonable precaution, Warrandyte Pottery Studio is not liable for:

    • Personal injury caused by individual actions or misuse

    • Loss or damage to personal property

    • Acts beyond our control (natural disasters, power outages, etc.)

Amendments

Warrandyte Pottery Studio & Gallery reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on our website or at the studio upon request.

Policies
