Warrandyte Pottery Studio & Gallery is a creative hub where clay, community and contemporary craft come together on the banks of the Birrarung River in Warrandyte, Victoria.
Housed in an iconic, light-filled building on Wurundjeri Country, our studio pays tribute to the town’s rich ceramics history while championing today’s emerging and established artists.
We offer term classes, workshops and private events for all levels, from curious beginners to practicing ceramic artists. You can learn wheel throwing, handbuilding and glazing in a supportive environment guided by experienced teachers who love sharing their knowledge. For younger makers, our kids clay classes provide a playful introduction to the world of ceramics, encouraging confidence, creativity and messy, hands-on fun.
Alongside the studio, Warrandyte Pottery Gallery showcases a changing selection of ceramics, paintings, jewellery and artful objects by local makers. It’s the kind of place you pop into for a special gift, and leave with a deeper connection to the artists and their stories. Weekends in the gallery often include artist demonstrations, exhibition openings and live events that invite visitors to slow down, wander and stay a while.
Community is at the heart of everything we do. From Day of Clay and specialty workshops to member access programs and student exhibitions, we create space for people to experiment, build skills and connect with others through making. Whether you are here for your first mug or your fiftieth kiln firing, Warrandyte Pottery Studio is a welcoming place to grow your practice, celebrate handmade work and be part of a creative community.
